Summer Lovin'

I hope your summer is going as great is mine! I spend my days hiking, rock climbing, playing basketball and volleyball, frisbee golfing, ping pong and the best part...I get paid to do it! Camp Tuttle is the best job in the world! The only thing I love more than my job is the people I work with. To the left is a picture of Sheridan and I on our staff backpacking trip to Lake Lackawaxen. Getting to do the things I love with the people I love is truly a wonderful thing. Not only do I get to be outside playing with kids all day, I get to play my guitar 24/7. My fingers are so calloused I can no longer feel my fingertips, which is a blessing in disguise :)
I'm home for the weekend and the fam is about the through the biggest BBQ of the year! Can't wait to see friends I haven't seen in a while and have a break from camp.
The next three weeks of camp are going to fly by, I can already feel it. So until next time, keep this tre fab, as usual! xoxo

This is a shout out to the residents at Austin Ridge Court #2, or as I more commonly refer to them as, THE DUCES! This year is just flying by! Wow...where to start? Spring semester at USU is just about half way and I'll just say that skiing has taken quite the toll on my school attendance...but I LOVE every minute of it! Besides procrastinating school work, Jenni, Amanda and I keep ourselves busy by building a spa in bathroom, flinging the door open while either roomie is on the tiolet, trying to find Jenni a man, and of course watching endless hours of Hulu TV! Spring break is sooo close we can almost taste it and we're so excited! I'm coaching the freshman softball team at Logan High this season, which I absolutely LOVE, and will be traveling with the team to San Jorge to soak up the sun. I think it will be a great start to a much needed break. As you can see, life here is delicious as ever! In the words of a dear friend of mine-BON APPETIT!

Winter Fun

My first semester of college is officially over, it's in the bag, and let's just say I slayed the heck out of it. Besides getting a pretty questionable grade in calculus, I'd say my first experience with college education was a definite WIN! I'm now living it up on Christmas break, for a whole month! Between working and drinking hot chocolate by the fire I spend time extreme sledding and having a blast with friends. This weekend Sara and I spent the weekend with a couple of our camp friends. Four wheeling and some sweet sledding were some highlights. Christmas is coming soon and I'm super excited to spend time with the fam. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! College wha?

Since the summer ended I've moved out of the house (no, my parents didn't kick me out), started college, started working at Fred's Flowers, and am having the time of my life! Jenni and Amanda are the funnest roommates a newbie freshman could ask for. Between watching hours of stand-up comedy, sleepovers (when I'm too scared to sleep in my own room), butter lids of death, riding in the pink uterus, and baking crazy good pastries, I'd say we've had quite an adventure so far. There are many more to come..and until then, do something crazy for me!

Summer Madness

July is coming to a close and I'm rather upset because that means so is my summer job. I've worked at Camp Tuttle for the past six weeks and I absolutely love it! I get paid to hike, river raft, and play with kids all day long! The people I work with are amazing and some of the coolest people I've ever met, I love them! Besides summer work, graduation was super fun, I'll miss Logan High terribly, but I'm excited to move out and start school at USU. I got a job and Fred's Flowers, where Gretchen works. It should be fun to work my sister...I think. I guess I'll find out in about two weeks. Anyway, until next time, keep things tres fab. XOXO

Prom was last week end, and let's just say it was one of the funnest nights EVER! I went with James, I've known him since like 3rd grade, and he was the best. Other than that, graduation is coming up super fast and my college plans have changed...I'm going to USU!! I was pretty bummed about it a week ago..but know I'm just SO excited! Things didn't work out with SUU, but I'm glad I get to stay here with my family and friends. Like always, life here is tres fab! I hope it is for you too!

WOaH! It's been quite a while since I updated my life on the blog. I'm graduating in a month, and let's just say...I'M FREAKING OUT! I'm going to SUU after I graduate and I'm nervous because that means I have to be responsible, and do things that adults do, and now my mom can't do everything for me. (I love you Mom!) Basketball ended in Feb. and we went out with a bang and a half! We beat Bear River at the buzzer, it was magical. Softball started shortly thereafter and it's been such a blast! I just love my team. Things with college and homework and softball are a crazy train, but I'm feeling good and like always, looking even better!

My life for the past 3 months has been nothing but grease, no, not the hair product, the musical. Oh yes, it's been nothing but do-wop music, big hair and petticoats. Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it, but it sure is nice to just take a minute to sit and think. Everyday after school I was straight off to basketball practice, then straight off to rehearsal. On Tuesday night I had a basketball game that ended at 6 and a performance that started at 7:30! Talk about a quick scene change. Anyway, now that Grease is over, I can actually do my homework every now and again...okay so I probably won't do it, but it will make me feel better knowing I had the option to do it. And now that musical is over I can focus my efforts on bettering the Logan girls basketball record, even though we have a perfect record. 1-0! Logan-59 Juan Diego-25 Our next game is against Mountain Crest and should be a pretty good one. That's next Tues, so until then I think I'm going to take some time to think about the homework I should be doing, and watch some TV instead.

i'm quite a fan. i can't say i've had any real traumatizing experiences in my life, except for maybe sharing a room with gretchen for 17 years, but in any case, definitely a keeper.

This morning as I did my paper route, on my brother's bike, pedaling up to my ears, I realized that summer is over. It's been arguably the best summer of my youthful life. It all started with an foreign adventure with my kid sister, also known as Sara Jeanne. We traveled all around Peru for about three weeks and experienced things that changed our friendship forever. Now you may think that sounds a little cliche, but we can now sleep anywhere and in any proximity and feel completely comfortable. Plus, we were taught to surf on the most beautiful beach, by the most beautiful men on the planet. Any who, that's a story for another time. After Peru I went to a team basketball camp with my second family. We had a blast ballin' it up at Southern Utah University. Possibly the most rewarding experience of all summer was my trip to Martin's Cove, Wyoming, where the youth in my stake got to trek just like the handcart pioneers for three days. Sometime between then and now I made room for late nights with my best friends, watching endless hours of America's Next Top Model and eating my weight in Otter Pops. Now school has started and I'm already anxious for graduation. I didn't think that day would come, but two weeks of school and I'm about ready to eat my own foot. I hope you've enjoyed my rant, hopefully Peru pictures will be up soon. Peace out. Rock on.
